Roadrunner and Jack Rabbit

Pr*tty
Truth be told, there’s nothing too remarkable about this logo, but it at least speaks the right visual language. The R in the mark doubles as a little road, and one could even argue there’s a bit of a bird’s head in that shape too. Meep meep.

Sh*tty
This poor fella was running so fast he crossed the line from quirky/playful to cartoonish/ridiculous about a mile back, and didn’t even realize it. Silly rabbit.

Copywriting: Manhattan Mini Storage and Avia

Pr*tty
This headline has nothing to do with storage, and everything to do with branding. Kudos.

Sh*tty
I’ll admit that a finely toned ass has its appeal. But I cannot imagine a more tragically unoriginal, lazy, childish headline. And the CLIO goes to Beavis and Butthead!

Photoschlock Friday

I’ve decided that the first Friday of every month will now be Photoschlock Friday.

There’s plenty to hate about all these, but let’s just take this time to revel in their flawed Photoshopping.

Nevermind the god awful kerning, take a look at the spacing between these people’s feet and the luggage they’re “standing” on.

I realize finding miniature super model jackhammer operators is difficult. At least as difficult as being expected to buy this illusion.

I might be wrong about this one. Maybe that sheet is actually over their head. If so, they’ve done  themselves no favors by making the color adjustments they have. Are a little girl’s fingers a fair trade for aromatic cartoon flowers? I think not.

Clementine Art and Crayola Crayons

Pr*tty
A clear case of targeting your audience and hitting your mark.

Sh*tty
Another clear case of thinking parents think their kids like sh*t like this. It’s mind boggling that Crayola can so openly crap on their heritage. The “just keep adding stuff” methodology is in full effect here and working as well as it ever does, which is never.

Many thanks to P*S* Reader and colorful character Travis Crisp for the images!
