I won’t bother to shatter the illusion for those of you not from New York City who’ve watched this commercial and think NY1 must be a pretty cool local channel. For those of you from NYC, at least we have this commercial.

The typography in this isn’t so bad. It’s quite good actually. But everything in between is just so... not right. It just doesn’t ring true to real life. Watching that silhouetted woman “dancing” in her doorway is something like watching Elmo rap.
